IF Morales were to beat Maidana.

I'm a big fan of Morales and got some respect for Maidana these days but I really am worried for Erik Morales in this one. I don't see him being able to hurt Maidana or outbox the pressure of this young, hungry, heavy handed fighter.

If Morales was to somehow pull off the big upset what would this do for his legacy? Would it have any sort of impact to the rest of the fighters around him?

I think it would be one of his better victories in his already legendary career and could see fighters like Judah, Barrera, Marquez or even a top fighter at 140 being discussed for future opponents.

Personally I hope Maidana can go easy on him.

A miracle win against Maidana would fire straight into a big fight against JMM, Khan, Bradley.

If he loses, I hope he goes down quick and stays down.
If he wins, much prop and hopefully he retires. I don't think he
has the skill sets anymore with the new gen.

It depends on how he does it. If he wins a war then it enhances his resume but if its more of a Maidana looked bad situation then Morales goes at gets outclassed by Marquez it will mean nothing for me

Heck loser probably gets pacman or floyd. The way things go these days.

I think Morales may be able to hit and run against Maidana and pull off a victory, especially if Maidana gasses like he did against khan (then again Khan hit him with a body shot that would have killed a mortal and maidana got up and fought the rest of the fight.)

With that said, i don't think if Morales beats Maidana people will be chanting "Morales is back!!! P4P #1"

If Morales beat Maidana, which won't happen, there's no doubt Marquez is fighting him afterwards. It would legitimize the near deal earlier this year. I'd pay for that. Whoever won that would be set up to get a title shot, and a chance to become the first Mexican boxer to win a title in 4 divisions.
