well, i dont know any filipino people but i know they are devout believers in god and are full of pride for their own when it comes to the world stage in whatever career one of them represents.
in the case of pacman, hes huge.
but, it was never arum that put him there because he did it all on his own and arum just sat back on his fat wrinkly arsehole and took the money.
donaire on the other hand has probably seen this "ponce" for what he really is.
i mean, when did he get in the ring and fight? ya know, earn his green?

nonito donaire in my view definately did the right thing, gbp is the future of boxing promotions and arum should accept it without being greedy and suggesting its not personal when it is.

Manny Pacquiao is a once in a generation fighter I don't think Nonito will ever reach nor touch what Manny has accomplished.


With that said it does not matter


Nonito will forge his own legacy and it will be a special one since he has all those little intangibles that suggest that he will go quite far irregardless of what Arum says.

yea, u put that montiel fight or even thar sydorenko fight on a pacquiao ppv, and donaire is well on his way to being something special. rite now, arum has done absolutely **** to get his name out there. and i mean that subjectively, he could have done so much more. and ppl get upset at donaire, makes no sense.

Took my thoughts and put it on your post. I agree, it's up to the promoter to give his fighter publicity. Donaire did his part in giving out spectacular performances. It was only logical to put donaire on pacs undercards in order to get more exposure to philipinos, boxing fans, and the casual fan. Ms. Donaire even said that was one of the main reasons they even signed with old man burns...i mean Bob Arum.

Bob did something right though, He gave him a shot at Montiel. That boosted Donaire's rep big time! To bad he waited till his last fight of his contract to do it. I guess Bob thought that with that fight he would sign to an extension.

Top Rank seems to be the Manny Pacquiao Company at the moment. Don't matter what division you're in you're hoping for a Pacquiao fight. Donaire split to make some distance and forge his own path. Arum's a very wily businessman but sometimes he makes mistakes. His mistake this time was saying he wouldn't pit Nonito against Agbecko, Mares et al after the Montiel fight. Wouldn't give him the chance to prove he's the man at 118. Really ******. Who wouldn't wanna see Agbecko-Donaire?
