In 2003/2004 Was Vitali The Most Exciting Boxer In The World?

His fight with Lewis was legendary, he destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds where he went straight at him aggressively and knocked him down twice and the second time the ref called the fight instead of counting, A very exciting fight with Corrie Sanders, and finished with the complete destruction of Danny Williams. So did the people who say the Klitschko's are boring watch these fights? All 4 fights were in the U.S. for packed audiences as well.

vitali was obviously better at boxing before the 4 year off thing, but he can still whoop any young heavyweight in the world now

oh i agree, although i wouldnt even say obviously better. Vitali has lost some speed, but he seems to be even smarter now, and better at utilizing his strengths while exploiting opponents weaknesses, but I just mean exciting. In 2003/2004 were any of the haters calling Vitali boring? Is anyone going to step up and call the Lewis, Sanders, Johnson, Williams fights boring?

Before he stepped aside, Vitali was the man. I still like Wladimir, but will always prefer Vitali.

Also Vitali seems much better now at fighting off the back foot, using body shots, and not bending the left knee so much. He fights taller now and he seems even bigger in the ring.

Didnt like his fight with Danny Williams, his punches looked awkward and clumsy.

Vitali Klitschko in the 90's was a great skilled talented boxer.

Any world in which Manny Pacquiao existed, Vitali was not the most exciting boxer. That was around the time he was stomping Barrera into the ground and having his first fight with Marquez. That's more exciting than any fight Vitali was in.

I could probably look back and find others too, but I'll leave it at that.

Wlad was better too way back before he changed his style. Watching some of his older fights are fun.

Yeah but Freddie Roach was in Vitali's corner then.

And I think a lot people prefer two whales wailing on eachother over 2 midgets karate chopping eachother.
