Solis was clearly winning the round, he landed 3-4 really good punches. Vitaly didn't do anything but try and look for an opening. He even admitted that his semi-hook didn't contain enough power to knockout Solis, who had obviously injured his leg and consequently couldn't get up after the fall.
Although obviously, Solis would have never been able to keep up the pace with those quick, snappy punches and Vitaly would have crushed him in the later rounds, and probably knocked him out anyway.
Watch the round again. Vitali lands some good jabs, a couple of nice shots to the fat belly of Solis, and the counter right that drops him. Vitali wins on activity and ring generalship if the round ends before the knockdown.
