They are fighting on September 24, 2005. Both of this fighters have amazing records so far great prospects Miguel Cotto (24-0 20 KOs) vs Ricardo Torres (28-0 26 KOs. What do you think the outcome of this fight is going to be?

im betting cotto will win, but im hoping torres will win.

before you respond, plz note that i have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING against cotto. i think hes a good fighter, well rounded, and could be one of the best 140lbers ever.

im just hoping torres will win simply because torres has a better KO % and ive never seen him before. ive seen cotto and he is impressive, but i havent seen torres and i hope torres gives a good fight.

Miguel Cotto is an awesome talent... He needs to be fighting the elite NOW!

No more tune-ups... He's there already in my opinion.

        He'll win this fight... EASY!

Cotto is being "groomed" in the same fashion that Prince Naseem was "groomed" in the 90's.....he's being fed a group of has-been's in order to gain name recognition before 1 mega-fight where he'll lose his belt, his pride, his undefeated record and the mystique surrounding it...

in other words, Mayweather-Cotto in '06-'07 will be eerily similar to Hamed-Barrera

Watch children, Torres by brutal stoppage. Miguel Cotto gets exposed, and the year of upsets continues....

Torres hasn't really fought anyone. So he's a big question mark. I have to go with Cotto, he's beaten much better boxers then Torres has. Torres chin is another question mark. I'm picking Cotto to win. But I can't really say it will be a UD or a KO win. Cotto definitely looks like the better fighter. This is a great free card on HBO we have Peter/Wlad & Cotto/Torres.

You are right they seem to be doing this similar thing to (I hate to say this) JCC JR, but we just have to wait and see what happens when they both face more elite fighters that is when we will see a difference in what kinda fighters they really are.
