Margarito and Pac will never happen again, but Pac and Cotto certainly will. If Cotto beats Margarito, he will be on a three streak winning and have the motivation and the storyline for a Pac rematch.

There is enough storylines, plus you add in the 1.25 million buys the first one did. It can be sold that the problem with Cotto was the fact they had Joe Santiago in his corner. Arum just talked about Cotto being rejuvenated. He is making the pathway to Cotto/Pac II. The only person other than Floyd that will get Pac and Arum the $$ they want is Cotto.

Cotto may not win the fight, but his pockets will be lined up, as will Pac.

duh? because you're using an uncertain event to take a dig against a fighter you like to dislike.

It's only feasible if Cotto wins and I'd like to see Cotto defeat a worthy opponent before he gets that shot again. Too many people in line before him. beating washed up fighters like Mayorga and Margarito wouldn't cut it.

If Cotto beats Margarito, that rematch is on.I'm pretty sure of it.(opinion).But the obvious question would be why couldn't he fight Martinez at 154 then. But I'm also sure that his fans will find an excuse to use like they always do(also opinion).

Funny thing is that if Cotto beats Margarito, then people are gonna have to start giving him a chance to win the rematch.Because although Margarito got beheaded by Mosley & soundly beaten by Pacman he still should hold a huge psychological advantage over Cotto & it would also mean that Cotto is a better fighter at 154 than at 147.

You have a better chance of sleeping with Sergio than PAC ever fighting these guys at 154.

In your opinion, who would be a worthy opponent for Cotto to fight? The list is quite short of fighters who are on Cotto's level. There is Floyd and Martinez. No other fighters around are at Pac or Cotto's level. I think if he avenges the Margarito loss and fights a good quality opponent in November like a Wolak or something then it should be good enough. Thought?
