Lol, dude. Unlike you and many others I talk from experience as a former fighter myself and a young kid that had the privilege of seeing Hagler/Hearns ringside. I don't think any of the guys fighting @ 47 today would've been able to compete with Ray Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Curry, Pryor, etc. So your talking to the wrong dude. I know how to fight, what it feels like to fight and what it takes to be a fighter. You got a boxing mind here dude. Floyd wouldn't have made it pass Pryor and Manny wouldn't have made it pass Sanchez maybe not even Gomez @ 122. Dzinruk wasnt going to give Martinez his biggest payday and exposure to the world, and he has the 160 lb belt that im sure Dzinruk wanted for himself, not the other way around. now once anyone above 160 can come close to generating the kind of money the top two welterweights have been then it would be different for Martinez he wouldnt have to chase Pac and Floyd. so for a shot at Manny im sure he would find a way to make 154, but we all know Pac would not fight that man not even at 150.

the reason not even at 150 is because martinez will be 170+ on fight nite, thats a 25 pound advantage over pac...people say how about margarito? well, for one thing, margarito was basically a fulltime welterweight, while martinez is more of a natural middleweight than anything, considering martinez normally is 170 on fight nite

Margarito and Clottey had both battered Cotto. EVERYBODY was saying that Cotto looked shop-worn and faded after Clottey. Miguel was not on top of his game, he had an unsettled camp, no trainer to speak of, and he most certainly was not in his prime..... plus, Pacquiao tried to drain him on the scales.

The odd exception, like a Manfredo type fight, is understandable..... but there are question marks over every single Pacquiao opponent dating back to before JMM II.
