For the knee injury to be pre-existing he was sure bouncing, jumping & moving around quite well before & during the fight!! Now I don't think that particular punch hurt him cause 1st of all it wasn't thrown that hard, second it was partly blocked & it didn't even land flush, it was more like a graze & when Solis started stepping backwards, his back his foot sort of slid & that's when he went down & IMMEDIATELY grabbed his knee..It looked like he got hurt at that moment, BUT NOT BEFORE like they are saying!! Maybe Solis's FAT LARD ASS is carrying to much weight for his knees!! Cause even thou Solis is way shorter than the muscular Vitali, Solis was heavier than Vitaly at the weight in..Solis looked more like Patrick(the fat star fish from Spongbob)!!That's who he should have hanging from his neck chain!!

It was landed flush, it landed on his temple, it landed as a counterpunch from a weird angle and moreover it was a punch he did not see. Moreover Vitaly turned into it quite well too.
Here you can see that it landed on the top of his temple, while he was blocking his view with his glove. Notice his much shock is absorbed by his head that it is twisted to the right

Here you can see that he is caught with a counter right and is completely unprepered for it, you can also note how much his head twisted from it as well

Looks like he was rubbing his hand over Solis's spongy hair.

Vitali hasn't hurt anyone with a single punch in 10 years, and 2 of his last 3 prior fights came by decision. It's a tall order to believe that punch did anything at all to Solis.

The left foot was sliding before anything even landed. Solis falls regardless.

dude, if anything your gifs just confirm what everyone else thinks: that "punch" had absolutely no effect whatsoever... looks like a weak slap coming out of nowhere with zero strength in it... and you talk about solis "head twist", his head looks absolutely okay, it barely moved from that slap

now, where i agree with you, is with your last post about the knee injury issue... it's true that when you get such an injury there is no way you can get back up and walk. mine happened when I was playing soccer and i couldnt put ANY kind pressure on my right knee for at least 2 weeks.. the pain was unbearable

He cleary slips and probably damages his knee before Vitalis grazing punch lands.

Look, there is a new article and the injury looks worse than we all thought. I don't know if a well known professional doctor can really lie about this:

Solis’ knee seriously injured – Surgery this Thursday in Germany

On Saturday night in Cologne (Germany) WBC no. 1 rated heavyweight Odlanier Solis was stopped on his way to dethroning champion Vitali Klitschko by a serious knee injury. "La Sombra" was brought to hospital directly after the fight where an anterior cruciate ligament rupture, articular cartilage damage and meniscal tear in the right knee were diagnosed. "I haven’t seen a knee torn apart like this in a long time", senior physician Dr. Joern Michael stated after doing an arthroscopy.

Solis will most probably undergo surgery on Thursday at the clinic of knee specialist Dr. Jürgen Eichhorn who was recommended to Solis and promoter Ahmet Oner by Prof. Walter Wagner, head of the German boxing commission’s medical department.

"We want to guarantee the best possible treatment for Solis", says Oner. "It is our goal to bring him back to the ring as soon as possible. But of course only if he is 100 percent fit and ready to fight.."

Oner hopes that Vitali Klitschko will give his mandatory challenger another shot at the title after the unfortunate accident of last Saturday. "Vitali knows exactly what it means to lose a fight due to an injury", adds Oner. "He has been asking Lennox Lewis for a re-match for years and years and it didn’t materialize. We hope that Vitali will not put Solis in a similar situation like he has been in. Solis has earned a second chance."

Most sepctators saw Solis winning the first round against Vitali before hurting his knee when he accidentally fell on it after Vitali had caught him off-balaance with a flash knockdown.

"I was just unlucky", says Solis. "I didn’t even feel the shot that he landed on me and it certainly did not take me out. I felt that there was something wrong with my leg and I lost my balance. When I went down I knew immediately that there was something wrong. I promise that I will be back soon and even stronger – if I get a second chance I will win the title."

At the time of the stoppages the odds had dropped from 7:1 for a Solis win to only 2:1 after "La Sombra" had connected with some nice clean shots and accurate counter punches. There were more than 1 billion Euro bet on the fight worldwide.

"The world was watching and waiting for Vitali Klitschko to be dethroned", says Oner. "The first round was exactly as we had promised: exciting, spectacular and competitive heavyweight boxing on a very high level. I think the was the fight started calls for a re-match."

If the knee surgery goes on as planned Solis would be able to start rehab training immediately and be ready to fight again in six to nine months. "Hopefully against Vitali again", states Oner.

Are you dim? he took a smack on a temple from a 250 pound big athletic guy that he was completely unprepered for. His head turned over 45 degrees and his ears went flappy from the shock, do you even know whats happening with your brain on such impact?
Well, its really very simple: all the arteries around the area of the temple get clogged from the pressure of the punch and your brain panicks, because it think its going through a stroke. The first response from your brain is to dump down all the blood from the head down to the body, which leads to anything ranging from paralysis of limbs to fainting to other nasty stuff. Why do you think he was trying to put his weight on his left foot but kept stumbling over after he got up? thats because he was experiencing what many of the stroke victims do -- loss of control of a limb.

Also note how his head turned over from the punch, that is a classic case of upper spine damage, where a group of nerves from the brain are connected into the inside of the spine, in case of such shocks victims temporarely and sometimes permanently lose control of limbs.

EDIT: On another note, in cases of such injuries victims do not usually faint, but symptops are partial or complete loss of control of limbs. Usually the first side you lose control of is the opposite of which the head turned to, so when Solis's head turned to the right from the punch his left leg got temporarily paralized.

Or maybe because he had to put all 246lb of his weight on one leg because he couldn't put any weight on his right. Some fit and healthy people struggle to keep their balance standing on one leg without having an injury to the other.

                      Wishful thinking on your part.

His left foot is clearly ungrounded before anything lands!! Vitali's cold stare had more to do with the "KD" than that hair combing gesture.
