I think it was as simple as that. Solis was an amateur, only 17 pro fights, most against total bums or total shot guys who couldnt hit. He had no experience reacting to shots like that temple shot because in the amateurs it would have probably grazed off his head gear. He also had no experience taking hits from anyone like Vitali. Vitali on the other hand is the total professional, almost 45 fights, tons of kick boxing fights, and knew exactly what to do in the rings.
It also goes well beyond experience. Vitali treats his body like its his life, because its what he uses to make his living. Solis clearly treats his body like a frat house...it gets pretty sloppy and sure you can clean it, but it only becomes less sloppy. He doesnt act like a professional outside of the ring, doesnt put in the work, doesnt take care of himself...Vitali does.
Solis wont be back at a stage this big ever again. I can almost guarantee that. If he does have a serious knee problem...cong****, he will sit around for 6 months, depressed, and lazy and just eat himself to 300 lbs. If the knee problem isnt serious...no serious champion is ever going to give him another shot. Its the Kermit Cintron effect. When a fighter ruins a giant night like that, people just assume its a huge risk it can happen again.
