lewis ...what was he ...37 odd? at the end of his career. late notice switched opponent. sure, vitali was busy. might well have nicked a few close rounds. but where was the illegal blow that ripped his eyelid apart AND his cheek?
the dude is a bleeder. he was even starting to look red around the eye against solis and that was just 3 minutes.

If that fight ended DQ because of the way Lewis's punch landed on Vitali's face, it would have been the first in championship history. How much of a crybaby can you be?

Vitali sustained 3 more unique cuts aside from that punch. Shouldve of kept his hands up more.

Only one cut was severe enough to cause the fight to be stopped, the one caused by an extremely illegal "punch." (if you can call raking the back edge of your glove across someone's face while holding them with the other hand a punch)

Usually when an illegal punch, like the one Roy Jones Jr hit Griffin with or the one Abraham hit Dirrell with, alters the course of the fight, the receiver of such a punch wins by DQ.

In this case it was ignored, fight stopped and we've gotten nonsense comments like "the worst version of Lewis beat the best version of Vitali" ever since.

Nice gif, though surely you realize it was a bit easier for Lewis to hit Vitali after he'd blinded him with that illegal punch? (hence why the fight was starting to turn in Lewis' favor when it was stopped)

After the bell, and on the ground are common DQ's. Easy to recognize intent and easy to call/

I want to see a dq based on "How a punch hit the opponent's face" No fight would ever make it past 4 rounds if you DQ'd every punch where the wrong side of the glove "may have" made contact with an opponents face. It's preposterous, and only a Vitali fan would cry for a DQ on something so small.


If Vitali was up to task he wouldve KO'd glass-chinned Lennox in the 2nd round like Mccall did. Lennox was dazed, Vitali had perfect vision, and the Vit's assault was haulted on a simple jab.

Lewis' recent interview was the VERY FIRST time that he has said ANYTHING positive about the Klitschkos. It seems that posters' memories are very short. Well mine isn't. Until last week, because he was hired as the "analyst", be bad-muuthed the Klitschko's every single time he could, and it's on record that he phoned EVERY opponent and OFFERED to help them to beat the Klitschko's.

His hatred (and fear) of Vitaly Klitschko is well known, and he is really a mean-spirited jealous creature, not a sportsman at all. In the interview, you may have noticed that he compared Solis' (Or Haye"s)style and resume to his own, a thing which he ALWAYS manages to bring in, talking about himself, and he good he was........

"He reminds me of myself, when I won (here follows a list of titles)"....... are his favourite words

In actual fact, all he can tell Haye is to "get yourself bashed around, and then hit Klitschko with the glancing side of your glove, the laced part, hope to cut him, then keep rubbing your head into it". In the meantime take a hell of a pounding and also have a ****** doctor and foolish ref handy" ........

I generally like and agree with your posts, but this is just garbage.
