I dont think the road is clear for Bute vs. Kessler. Bute still has mandatory obligations and Kessler will have a fight before Bute so this fight is on for late this year at the earliest.

Did you get a chance to see the fight, Bat? Kessler was doing some color commentary and said he had hoped to do some light sparring in around 3 weeks or so.

As far as Bute's mando, I hope it's not Jean Paul Mendy which it probably is, and Mendy would be ko'ed in 3 or so.

I think it all depends more on Kessler's rehab than anything else, which could be a while.

I saw the youtube clips this morning.

Yeah Kessler takes a tune-up first. I don't know if that is neccesary TBH. He's a seasoned pro so a good tough camp should make sure if his eye can hold up.

Kessler has been told he would fight the winner of the super 6 and now Bute has been told the same thing ...

This would become an elimination matchup to face the champion.

I have strong faith in Bute's ability to fight anyone but maybe I'm a little blinsided since I'm from Montreal.

Based on past Montreal history, Kessler needs to KO Bute twice to get the draw.
