Comments Thread For: Vitali, Wladimir Klitschko Discuss Solis TKO, David Haye

Vitali Klitschko defended his WBC heavyweight championship with a first-round knockout of Odlanier Solis in Cologne. Cuban challenger Solis appeared to have matched his Ukrainian opponent for much of the three minutes, but was caught on the temple by a right hand and staggered to the ground.

Haye better get his glass jaw wired shut for July 2nd. And his glass temple is about as crumbly as an oxo gravy cube.

Youd think Solis was motionless on the canvass based on that exerpt.

listen to the spin! you'd expect a julian jackson-herol graham type knockout if you listened to them but then you watch it and see the guy twist his knee and fall down.

            LOL.

I love The Klitschko Brother's tactic of always saying that the other brother is the better fighter. They do this to avert attention from any possible fight between the two, the media might have.

Vitali always says that Wlad is the better fighter, and Wlad says that Vitali is better. They're ****ing with the media and the fans. Brilliant.

Haye will get his ass taxed. Wladimir seems confident in taking Haye out without to much trouble to me. Haye s another opponent to be ticked off the list for Klitschko.

I agree, just watched the fight on youtube, not a fan of Solis but you can clearly see Vitali throwing and missing, Solis walking backwards and falling and twisting his right leg, all the way to the back. Even if that wouldnt happened, he would probably make it until the 8th or 9th, Vitali was clearly the much bigger guy....

solis outboxed vitali until he over stretched moved back and caused himself to fall of balance,a slight head shot landed, but that wasnt ko shot.

look in his eyes,he wasnt dazed,he was limping from a bust knee and twisted ankle.

i do agree, perhaps solis would have otuboxed him but got caught sooner or later and stopped moving and boxing so well after that.

wele never know for sure, inconclusive result, really sad to see.
