He got knocked out. When you get hit on the top of the head like that, your legs turn to ***in *****, he may has twisted his knee going down but thats because he had no legs. He was all over the place.
Solis didn't get knocked out. He twisted his knee.

The punch looked a pretty crap one to go down on, but then again i didnt have to take it, just looks that way. His knee injury did rob him of any chance of recovery though, but still not convinced he would have recovered even without the injury, the punch did initially badly affect his legs causing the injury, so recovery may have been difficultComment

Ali Liston II was not bona fide because the referee was incompetent and stopped the fight because a guy from the audience shouted something.
Sonny Liston's heavyweight record (= against 200+ lbs opponents) was 13-0 at the time of the bout against Clay. Beating Odlanier Solis is possibly more worth in terms of heavyweight than Sonny Liston (although I won't insist on it).
And, yes, Liston wasn't as fat as Odlanier, but he was way slower than Odlanier. Slomo Liston was terrible.Comment

In these two Vids you can see clearly that Klitschko knocked Solis down and that he clearly hit him very hard. Afterwards, Solis was unable to keep any body control.

You can even clearly HEAR Klitschko's punch at 00:07 seconds:

Sonny Liston's heavyweight record was 35-1 at the time. Thats 35-1 against the top guys at the pro level. Solis had 17 fights at the pro level. And was not fighting the top guys.
Vitali gets full credit for the victory, but any KO that has to be explained is not a bona fide ko. Thats what TKOs RTD, NCs and TDs are for.Comment
