David Tua goes the distance with Journeyman Demetrice King

Fight went 10 rounds, King barely threw but took everything Tua could dish out.

    Tua wins decision

Tua no longer looks a threat to the top 10 heavyweights

Tua has not been a top ten threat since Lewis taxed that ass.

He's beyond shot at 38 years old. That's rather unusal as most heavies are visibly faded at that age but he is COMPLETELY done.

This thread will get the usual -he should retire- talk but the guy is broke, he needs to fight. His fight vs Barret was one of the better HW fights of the past few years and if he needs the money you can still put him in decent fun fights eg vs Mormeck.

I would still like to see Tua face Arreola or Peter or someone of that ilk.

That would be sadistic. Shot Monte Barrett knocked him down, Arreola or Peter would probably KO him badly.

yeah, we just need Haye to cancel his fight with Wlad.

I think Tua could ko Haye

Give Monte some credit though: I was at that fight and he was in amazing shape. I don't think Tua anticipated that, because Monte is not always that motivated.

Tua was looking for a highlight reel KO against the tomato can King, so he must be devastated.

Still, a win is a win and he needs the money. A rematch with Barrett is probably next.
