Hatton should probably try to take a tough fight in America so the people there can see how good he really is and he really is good. I think he is one of the few people who would have a chance against Mayweather.
I think he is fighting Maussa because he wants an easier fight after the Tszyu fight and he will then also be a unified champion. Meaning Mayweather has to fight him before moving up. Otherwise nobody would say that Mayweather had cleaned out light welter before moving to welter.

Hatton is the UNDISPUTED LIGHT-WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION and everybody tom, **** and Harry will say he is rubbish because they are JEALOUS AND come from America. Just to let u guys know one thing who invented BOXING ?

Remember that he can travel to usa only to fight the top guns ie Mayeather, Gatti or Cotto (Cotto does not have a bigger fanbase than Hatton ?)

But just u guys remember when he comes to the States it will be just like when Nigel Benn came over battered Iran Barkley in case people forgot Benn came over with over 2,000 supporters Hatton will bring at least 5,000 and they be chanting "england england england, england england englandd"

HATTON IS DOING THE RIGHT THING let them all ***** like guys but u go and get the titles the right way already unofficial undisputed champion just wants complete recognition by obtaining the belts.

One thing I was Hatton i would have gone for the Judah Fight as he won everybody won have to shut their mouths as he would be a Hall of Famer holding two undisputed World titles would be an achievement not match by many

The one thing about Hatton though is that he doesn't have much fan base outside of Manchester and isn't very well known outside of Manchester. If he has four or five fights left in him he should have one in Sheffield, definately one in London, one in Newcastle or Scotland or Birmingham, and then one or two in America I guess. So then people from other parts of our land can say "I saw the great Ricky Hatton" or "the great Ricky Hatton once fought in my city!" and **** like that

Look at Chris Eubank, he fought all over the UK, he was always on the road. And EVERYBODY knew him, not just boxing fans but EVERYBODY all over the country!

but that had more to do with free domestic tv coverage.

with hatton splitting from warren that still wont happen now.

Yeah good point, and I suppose not just live terrestrial ITV but Eubank's own self-promotion

Although Eubank's Sky adventure was a nightmare as far as the World Tour went, he self-promoted himself well.

Whoa dude, your WAY OUT OF LINE! I've been in the squared circle before and let me tell you that you can TELL Ricky Hatton throws some bombs to the body that would make just about any fighter out there **** himself. Luck Against Tzyu! Please, he made the proud warrior quit. He took his boxing soul that night.

I'm not really a Hatton fan (I was hoping for KT to knock him off the map) but i respect his game. He has heart, and no matter where he goes, that will always give him an edge to compensate for any lack of skill he may have.

Totally disagree, he has all the skill in the world but lacks heart. If he had heart to go with his skill, he'd of been ****ing UNREAL.

Maybe i should defer on this issue to you, since you've obviously watched Hatton much more than i have. I have seen Hatton serveral times on SHOWBOX, and was impressed by his relentless aggresiveness. I may have confused "heart" for "adrelanie rush" as he always seems to want to fight for his Machester City crew.

Nevertheless, he is a tough-out for anyone in his division, including PBF.
