Showtime Announcer Steve Albert Got To Step Up His Game

Dude was terrible in the Cotto-Mayorga fight. In the second round Mayorga started throwing like crazy and Cotto made him miss every single punch but this dude was going nut "Nice left hand by Mayorga! Mayorga shopping away at Cotto! Ramming shots to the head of Cotto. Upercut by Mayorga!" Mayorga missed every single punch. If you watch the fight in mute is like watching a different fight and you can see how much Cotto and won every round. Showtime crew and Steve lbert overeacted to everything Mayorga did no matter what it was or how effective it was.

I don't have a problem with Albert. His observations are spot on, though his jokes aren't funny at all. I don't recall any problems with him during Cotto-Mayorga, but I'll see it again tomorrow and check it out.

Showtime commentators are so annoying, they're almost unbearable. They do the type of **** you listed almost every fight.

The worst is when it's an absolutely horrible fight and they still talk it up like it was an all-time classic.


Atleast HBO commentators will call a ****ty fight a ****ty fight.
