    James Kirkland's fight just ended

By 2nd Round KO.. Wasn't against anyone special but he went in and got the job done. Didn't look great, got hit a lot and even wobbled a bit. I'm hoping he works on his conditioning though.

It really looks like his opponent took a dive too SMH

Yeah, the end to that was kinda fishy. Dude just went down on a blocked jab, something ain't right.

Good tune up for Kirkland, dude really needs to work on his defense though. Martinez would put him away in a few rounds if he went in there like he did today.

I doubt it was a dive, the guy was throwing bombs at kirkland and looked like he was going for broke. He got hit with something I think he knew he was going to die and decided life was more important to him, he has a family to feed.

kirkland just fought like 13 days ago, good to stay busy. 3-4 more fights then bring on Angulo at 154.

It wasn't more-so the "jab" that had me smh.. It was the simple fact how he acted once the ref started counting. What's crazy was that he was landing some good shots too. Kinda looked like he caught Kirkland's attention in the first but eh.. His defense wouldn't have given him much of a chance against Martinez IMO

Like Natas said.. nothing more than a tune-up and hopefully a brawl with Angulo is on the horizon

Honestly Angulo-Kirkland was always a fight that made me rock hard.

          Real ****.

Kirk just needs to keep on getting rounds in and maybe it can happen at the end of the year. This will just be another forgotten bout.

his defense was non existent also because he was trying to murder a bum. If he were to ever fight martinez or any top level guy, I'm sure he'll think a little more.

martinez's weakness is agressive inside fighters.....

i agree that he would beat kirkland now but kirklands not at a 100% yet. the guy is still shaking off ring rust from years ago.....

So are we going to get some classic NSB trolling that want Kirkland headlining HBO main event against Martinez.
