He probably didnt do the face off because Vitali dipped down so he could be eye level during the face off at the presser a few weeks ago, totally clowning his ass. He didn't want to get owned again.

The staredown or non staredown is very unusual indeed. The dude refuses to look at Vitali..hasn't looked directly at him in all of there prefight get togethers. I think this probably has Vitali thinking & edgy..as he doesn't get that mental edge to intimidate Solis as he usually does with other fighters. While a part of him is thinking..this guy has to be scared ****less of me..another part is thinking that Solis is the one who's putting one over on me & isn't intimidated at all. He probably won't even look at him right before the bell.

Solis ain't scared, he fought Julius Long before who was 7'1. He didn't look Long in the eye before the staredown but still whacked the crap out of him.
