Dzinziruk, what I noticed from him was that the only thing moving were his hands, hardly any upperbody movement, or verity in his punches.

Well, thing is...Martinez knows how to control distance, his reach is 76', add in the movement and I can't see how Cotto can build up an attack, he'd be at a serious disadvantage. Sergiy atleast got within range at times, but failed to amount any kind of damage because he isn't a puncher.
Sergio fights a way that invites fighters to fight. He allows them to get in close so he can close the trap. How long will his amazing athleticism keep it going? He has reach, but doesn't use it to his advantage, so I see it as a wash. Just like PWill, the dude has a ****** reach advantage but fights hunched and invites danger. Same for Sergio

I will always want to see this fight. In 2008 Cotto stands about the ame chance as he does now. Its slim. The hand speed differential is too great. Floyd wont be in Cotto's range. Cotto never could cover a lot of real estate even with his punches . Even the guys he fought with a longer reach have to get in Cotto's range to be effective Offensively. I look at the success Foreman did have and a boxer puncher like Floyd would keep him at an unsafe distance all fight. I dont know if he finishes him because with Mayweather's punch output and Cotto's hard head it would take a while to break him down. Then again Cotto's head movement is a little slow so a lot of the time if he's hit with one he's open for more. I would put my money on Floyd discouraging him in a UD.

I could honestly see this fight happening. If it does it will be before a Pacquiao fight. Once Mayweather /Pacquiao goes down I think FLoyd Jr hangs it up satisfied. This is actually the fight we sholud be pushing first while Cotto is coming off a stoppage and fresh on our minds. The more I think about it I dont see a better decision for Mayweather at this point. Automatic sell-out, Cotto's biggest payday, 8 figures for Floyd, As good of a match that can be if you had to go outside the big three for a tune-up fo Pacquiao. Hell he might even take the test without resistance.
