    Pressure doesn't mean squat

Margarito applied pressure early one and got blasted for it

Mayorga applied pressure and got blasted for it

Zappvigna applied pressure and got schooled for it

you had no idea how the fight would lay out just based on pressure. If so then you give Acosta less credit than most of us in here did.

no one on this board backs Rios more than I and I clearly knew he was clearly behind by the 5th

man its a close call, Rios was getting hit the whole fight, outboxed he did start winning the late rounds and knocked dude out, but Rios was being outboxed the entire fight, Lee won the first and rounds 7-10 the fight was a draw on my card coming into the 10th, some people had rios still behind at the time of the knock out and considering Acosta is far better the boxer than Mcewan its gotta.be Rios - Acosta

yeah so far...but i see what people are talking about in the rios fight...i thought he might get knocked out in the middle rounds the way the early ones were going...but clearly was in the fight by the fifth...where lee got lucky he had enought gas to outlast mcewan...close but give it to lee...imo of course...

kind of a silly thing to argue about. Both guys stole victory from the jaws of defeat, and both fights were edge of your seat affairs. If you had a rooting interest in either fight then it would be hard to objectively say which was a bigger comeback.... One thing that can't be argued is that if boxing had more fights like this and less Adrian Broner type affairs, boxing would be mainstream again in no time.

Honestly, in terms of within a fight, yes it was.

Rios is the only other possible fight, thus far, but it didn't have the same feel. With the way Rios fights and the fact that he can be a slow starter, you could see him falling behind. Whereas, McEwan looked like he was dominating and almost stopped his man in the middle rounds.

Then.. **** (Word to Jim Lampley.) Lee starts throwing again and landing.. and hurting. He begins to wear him down and finally gets a stoppage in a fight that he had all-but-lost. That's simply a better swing in the fight.
