I love grudge domestic match ups like this, Its what makes boxing fan sit up and take note over here, even though i think De gale wins i wouldnt put my money on it but kudos for both of them taking the fight, De gale could have done a Ricky hatton and avoid his rival like the plague but he step up and took the fight, So no matter what he does or say outside i think that shows more class than Hatton who was a just a PR circus.

You're not getting it. Boxing badly needs characters. Not neccesarily "***** talking" but charasmatic fighters who will capture the public's imagination.

exactly otherwise nobody will care and the sport will slowly die. Imagine how different the heavyweight scene would be if the Klits were going around like prince nazeem or something the ratings would go through the roof ... more kids would take up boxing ... there would be more televised fights ... more money etc etc

I'm really looking forward to this fight.

I've only seen DeGale fight once, against Paul Smith, and I think it's safe to say that DeGale is definately a prospect, with massive potential for the future. He looks great technically and physically, and I truly beleive he could have gone on for 15+ rounds in that fight. Great conditioning. Just hope that if/when he finds success it doesn't go to his head and neglects his training.

groves had a real war of a fight with some scottish dude on the haye fraudley undercard ... he showed heart and i'd kinda like for him to win but i suspect degale will have too much class for him
