BoxingScene.com previously reported that middleweight champion Sergio Martinez was given a July date by HBO for his next ring appearance. Martinez has openly campaigned for fights against the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto. None of those fights are likely to come to fruition.
I don't blame K-9; I would talk the same smack for a good pay day because why take a chance and lose to someone of less skill. K-9 Is one dementional with very limited skills and could lose to a far less talented fighter than Sergio. He's a very small Jr. Middleweight already, then to step in with one of the best talents in that division since Hagler; the reason I left Bernard off is because he don't have the various skills and combination skills of Sergio. I like K-9 because I'm from the "D" also, but after you wake up; go get your money that's what it's all about.
hell yeah bundrage is the man. really is a cool dude. he is right, the style to beat martinez is somebody who can swarm him, and take advantage of shorter punches on the inside - and drown him out. NO WAY you can box with him on the outside behind a jab. unless you are exceptionally smart, with blazing foot speed, and fleetness of hand as well.
K-9 CAN win this fight. And I will support him all the way. I will take my time and resources to go see if they will let me interview him and post it on HBO boxing facebook page. and then maybe get some snippets of him during training camp. this guy has deserved exposure and big money fights for a long time.
I think I can speak for MOST (never know these days with fans in this contemporary fistic era, though) - that k9 is EXPONENTIALLY more deserving of this fight then peter bumfredo
