Vazquez has very underrated defensive skills. I've watched only two of his fights, last one with Zappa and against Prescott. Zappa had very fast hands and threw volume of punches, Prescott swinged with both hands, but neither were able to land that much significant punches.
I think he beats Rios, because Acosta was winning early rounds, but get hit enough times to be kayoed. Vazquez won't allow Rios to land his bombs, also has good jab.

I like both guys but Vazquez will embarrass Rios. Rios' style, the come forward pressure fighter, is tailor made for Vazquez's awkward, annoying style. He's very sneaky with his headbutts too.

I got Rios in that one, Vazquez has built a pretty good resume at LW, so he can't be denied.

Vazquez is like the annoying fly that you can't swat.

He's tall for his weight class, he jabs a lot, he feints, and has a very herky-jerky way of moving his upperbody. Add to that he likes to clinch and smother his opponent's attacks and you have a difficult opponent in front of you. After all, this a guy that Sergio Mora said that he hates to spar.

Even if he loses, he's the type of fighter that will make you look ordinary.

I remember, this during the Vazquez vs. Prescott fight, Mora says "I'm pulling for Vazquez to pull the upset, he has an annoying style". And I thought Mora had the most annoying style, so that means alot!
