Without plaster, Margarito won't beat Cotto.

The past 3 fights of Margarito (post-plastergate) speaks volumes.

Seriously, what do people expect of Cotto? His first fight at 154 was a very easy one against a guy with no power, this time they tried an easier guy to not get hit by, however, he still had very fast hands especially for a big guy and he's strong as an ox. The guy just got done fighting Margarito, Clottey and Manny... in a row. That isn't even counting the Mosley and Judah fight which were a year before those three, this guy has gone through the gauntlet, he cherry picks the least of any opponent and he gets crap for taking a pretty risky fight given his size in the division.

glad to hear he isn't gonna duck the marg fight...

I think he's asking for too much in fighting martinez, but I think martinez deserves a payday

If Cotto beats Marg than I wanna see Cotto vs Clottey 2 in Vegas. I also think Drizurizk would give Cotto all he can handle at 154.

Not ruling out the option of facing the towering Argentine champion, Sergio Martinez, subject to the achievement agreements "weights" between both parties.

"What names are to fight, as I have been fighting since 2004? Big fights, fights that the public likes and want to see, "Cotto said in an interview with El Nuevo Dia in school facilities in Caguas Mech Tech.

"There is not much on the table and I understand that a fight with Margarito would be lucrative, it would be what we expect to get and give us the opportunity to avenge the defeat, " he added.

His speech, however, was very different in early 2009. On that occasion, when he discovered the bandage Margarito illegal minutes before being knocked out by Shane Mosley, the Caguas native monarch ruled that "never again face the Aztec fighter who had to serve one-year suspension because of the incident.

"You have to adjust to what life brings you. We must make the necessary adjustments to be right with what you get, "he said Cotto now also ready to face Martinez, the current sovereign middleweight (160 pounds) of the Council (WBC).

That option, however, should be subject to negotiation of weight, and 'weight' (dollars). Cotto is a champion of the 154 pounds and said he "would not do (160 pounds). I do not get there ... could require that he (Martinez) down a little, "said Cotto. "At this time the weights are manageable. These are things that are included in contracts and to reach a determination, "he said.

sorry... had to use google translation (sucks)
Im not so sure about this, but if he takes the fight I will be rooting for him
