To be honest, I'm not sure why everyone is so big on Martinez fighting Pirog. I agree that it would be an intriguing fight, but Pirog hasn't really done enough to earn this kind of hype. Pirog knocked out a green and perhaps over-hyped fellow prospect in Daniel Jacobs and now he's back to fighting an unknown opponent, so I really don't get why people are acting like he is some kind of killer. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see the fight, but if Martinez were to fight Sturm or Cotto instead, I would be just as happy.
