I use to like his style, it was cool rooting for Pac vs MAB, EM, JMM, etc...the problem is when I realized thats all he does is fight the same fight against every opponent. I'm not an all offense kind of fan, I like the sweet science. I wrote I want to see Floyd cause thats where I can see the science of fighting. We already know what Manny is going to do vs Shane, right right left, step around, repeat, keep doing it till Mosley slows down, etc...maybe boring isnt the right word but predictable is. Pac does not do anything unexpected, its the same style, same attacks, same fights, same level of opponent.Lol. So, you're saying that a man beating people up with vicious punches and landing 200-400 punches in a fight is a boring thing to watch? Honestly? That's your claim?
You can prefer Mayweather's style. That's fine. I enjoy it, as well. But to say that a guy beating world-class opponents like they're nothing and usually getting a stoppage is somehow boring, is quite.....
How do you say.......
******ed?
You know... you can enjoy both fighters. It's actually not against the law. You can prefer one over the other. You can enjoy watching one more than the other. You can pick the things you like in one fighter and feel he is better or would win a hypothetical fight. But.. you don't have to say something that is simply ******.
Pacquiao fights who they put in front of him. Cotto is a boxer-puncher. Margarito is a pressure-brawler. Mosley is an in and out guy with speed and power. Hatton was supposed to be an inside fighter.
You ever think that Manny doesn't fight the same fighters, he just makes them look the same?
Mayweather is a great fighter. You can think he is great to watch. I enjoy his exhibitions. But, it's ridiculous to call Manny boring. Sorry, it's just dumb.Comment

If you're going to be that broad, the same type of thing can be said about Mayweather. Start out slowly, figure out his guy. Stay away from the big shots and then start to tire his man out by making him miss, block and counters. Then, he potshots/counters until he wins by stoppage or gets the decision. The same can be said about all great fighters.I use to like his style, it was cool rooting for Pac vs MAB, EM, JMM, etc...the problem is when I realized thats all he does is fight the same fight against every opponent. They fight the same because no one has been able to beat it, yet. (In terms of this run of their careers, anyway.)
The point is, I easily find both to be entertaining. If I want offense, I go to Manny. If I want defense, I go to Mayweather. I like both, both have a bit of the other. Nothing wrong with that.Comment

Nah, Floyd switches it up depending on the style of the opponent. Thats what the problem is with Manny, he keeps fighting the same style, with the exception of JMM, every opponent is a slow flat footed brawler. Floyd has fought many styles and watching him adapt is the entertaining part. If they fight, I will enjoy watching him adapt to Manny's all offensive style, the problem with Pac is that he can't change or adapt his style. I'm sure his trainer knows that and go out their way to avoid "slick" fighters. They put all the focus on Mayweather but Pac avoids slick fighters period, whenever and if ever he fights a true boxer let me know.If you're going to be that broad, the same type of thing can be said about Mayweather.
