Martinez's Last Fight, Pac's 8th title, Pac vs Martinez, and Donaire

Not hating on Martinez but his last opponent, Dzinziruk, was overhyped. Yes he was undefeated but hasn't really beat anybody. Sergay is slow too. Martinez could have ended the fight earlier, even before round 4 but he played it safe.

Even though it was sanctioned by the WBC, i don't really consider Pac's 8th world title. Maybe if he could have defended it against a top 10 jr. mw at the full limit of 154 and won, then maybe he is an 8th division champion. Can't really blame Pac cuz its the WBC who offered it.

Just like i want to see Pac vs Paul Williams(before the KO lost to Sergio), i liking a Pac-Sergio fight. As a Pac fan, i will root for him to win. But as a boxing fan, Sergio will win it by KO. You can say Sergio and Margarito are about the same size. But Sergio is really the bigger guy. Just look at their built. Also Sergio has been fighting in jr. mw while Margarito has been staying at ww with the exception of 2 fights at jr. mw against Daniel Santos.

If Pac says he wants Martinez, Bob Arum will say no. But if Pac insists on it, Konz and Arum will say to Pac at a catch weight against Martinez. nd becauseo of the age of Martinez, Sergio will price himself out. This fight will not happen.

I like Top Rank better than GBP but Donaire will get the exposure he need with GBP. Top Rank could have set Donaire fights against rank fighters, even in from 6-10 in rankings but they set him up with nobodies. The only quality fighter they gave him are Sydorenko and Montiel

    Haters and Huggers, flame on.

say what you want about Dzinziruk; overhyped, untested, slow...it still doesn't take away the fact that he's still a solid fighter

i believe it was the actual performance by Martinez that has fight fans still buzzing...in what was projected by some, a couple of the HBO staff included, to be a snoozer but Martinez provided the entertainment factor

what he did last Saturday was impressive...take for instance the method at which he systematically broke down the previously unbeaten Dzinziruk...he took Dzinziruk's BEST weapon, the jab and used it against him...to use someone else's strength and make that your primary weapon to discourage your opponent is remarkable...he basically toyed with a world class fighter, put on a show and then put the exclamation point at the end by inducing a stoppage

that's like someone shoulder-rolling and potshotting Floyd...beat someone at their own game...not an easy feat to do

and he did it with Williams as well...Williams wanted to throw volume, Sergio (in the first fight) pretty much played the same game and almost pulled it off
