Triangular theories are utter bollocks. Lacy struggled against Omar Sheika, Calzaghe knocked him out in 5.

I hope the Calzaghe v Lacy fight happens early next year, when Joe's hand heals up.

Either way... Calzaghe is the man @168lbs, not Kessler/Beyer/or Lacy.

      Yes. Rudy Markussen

Yea but Reid is much better fighter then Sheika. I can easily see Lacy not taking Sheika seriously. Also Lacy was the first man to put Reid down & he he put him down many times until the fight was stopped. Lacy hurt Reid with every punch.

Ok, I can understand your point, but when Calzaghe fought Reid, Joe had hand trouble (again, believe it or not) which led to his poor performance.

Plus, I'm not saying Reid was over the hill for the Lacy fight (that would be disrespectful to Lacy, and he doesn't deserve that), but his preparation was absolutely awful. Reid was a better fighter, and a better prepared fighter when he fought Calzaghe than when he met Lacy.

Lets just hope this fight gets done in February.

Lacy's distruction of Reid was impressive... But Reid was a little bit washed up. He had been inactive for the longest time in his whole career, and he had no sparring in the build up to the fight, for 4 weeks before the fight his only preperation was shadow boxing by the side of a swimming pool in a hotel.

I'm not making any excuses for Reid or trying to discredit Lacy's win... But Reid's preperation for a World title challenge was shocking!

I really didn't think Lacy was until he beat Reid comfortably, Robin may be past his best but he's no mug and I really don't see Calzaghe beating Reid that easily. They fought a few years ago and although Calzaghe got the decision Reid had it for me. Reid is not as good as he was then but......

Hes beating the **** out of people and looking good doing it, when you get massive exposure like that, and your fighting in the center of the boxing universe, you tend to get looked at as "the man". Until your boy gets off his ass, and has a meaningful fight, stops getting hurt, stops insulting ricky hatton, etc. Then hes not the man, nobody is the man at 168 in my opinion until the top beltholders ****in square off in my opinion

Lacy ****s calzaghe, but until he does that he cant be called best at 168

calzaghe when he was younger just picked on a few washed up former champions and then the rest of his defences were against bums, Lacy will be the first young, prime fighter he has had and the first current champion he has had and with calzaghe now being 33 or wotever he himself is washed up and if Lacy can hurt Robin then he can definately hurt calzaghe. too young too powerful for calzaghe is Lacy, calzaghe left it too late

Lacy ****s him and gets 168 ring title

are we STILL discussing what Calzone would do if he fought somebody with a pulse???

                    it'll NEVER HAPPEN!!!!

                    EVER!!!!

Lacy is the Super Middleweight King, Calzone doesn't even hold a major title

                    PERIOD

You guys are forgetting about Mikkel Kessler. As far as I'm concerned, He's the man.
