yeah he certianly did have an ego.

also he liked to pick when to fight his oppoenents as best he could and he never gave Hagler a rematch so hagler got fed up of waiting and retired.

however he was pretty awesome to watch so i cant hate him that much, I did used to hate Naz as well.

Ive met Sugar Ray Leonard. He promotes here. Kind of full of himself but what else is expected? I'd be full of myself too.

Yeah, I agree, once the fighter is retired or at least out of the spotlight you can learn to appreciate them as a fighter more and even laugh at their past antics. It's like with Ali, people look back and laugh at some of the stuff he did now but at the time people hated him for it.

The problem is that Sugar Ray just won't go away! He never seems to turn down an opportunity to get back on TV so people can worship him again. On The Contender, it's just guys kissing his ass while he says these horrible scripted lines...and his delivery of them is terrible.
