Comments Thread For: Cornelius Bundrage Eyes Saul Alvarez, Miguel Cotto

BoxingScene.com spoke to IBF junior middlweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage to get his thoughts on newly crowned WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's recent victory over Mathew Hatton. Alvarez won a 12 round unanimous decision over the Englishman to win the vacant WBC strap. Alvarez had received criticism for facing a welterweight for the junior middleweight belt and then received more criticism when he couldn't put the smaller man away before the final bell. thats what roy jones said too..if he was given a shot at the title that easily he would have taken it too, just like bundgrade is saying...i mean what boxer who is given a shot at the title in an easy fight would decline?.what would he say? nah,it's too easy...no way,no fighter would do that, and besides i just read an article at univision where sulaiman said he's not doing the tournament and canelo will have to fight the next available ranked fighter which i think is rhodes.

Why hasnt this guy had a mandatory fight yet? Sitting inactive for 7 months is ridiculous for this guy.

If I were Alvarez's management, I would jump on the Bundrage offer right away.

K9 beat also OUMA in a good fight,he is tough and his body is terrific,if K9 goes in the ring with ALVAREZ i think the young mexican is dead!!!BUNDRAGE lost with JULIO but he took the fight only on two weeks notice, anyway his losses are in the past and now he is angry and he deserves his belt;BUNDRAGE vs COTTO is impossible because his trainer is STEWART too!!!
BUNDRAGE vs MAYORGA/ANGULO/WOLAK are all good wars to see in my opinion!!!

bundrage aint no pushover...he fights very messy and awkward and he's a bigger puncher than his record indicates.

that being said panda doesnt expect bundrage to get past lara

I think Canelo can beat him and actually win a legit title.
