Pac is fighting guys that by rights are too big for him as it is I don't see why he should be asked to move up yet again. Its like somebody said if he was to somehow pull out the win what happens then? Do people start talking about how he should fight Carl Froch?

And lets look at the differences, Martinez has never fought at 168, Pacquiao has fought at 154, and even has a belt at that weight. Say what u will about Pac not making 150 blah blah blah, but he still fought at the weight. Is it the fact that Martinez isn't a slow, forward plodding, wide-punching, damaged goods opponent that keeps Pac from being willing to make the leap again?
But other than that, the reality is PEOPLE DO WANT TO SEE MARTINEZ MOVE UP... So stop crying
I don't know why it is that Pacquiao's fans feel the need to defend him about this subject. No one significant is giving Pac a hard time about it, and Martinez isn't even pushing for it. He merely suggested it. Why so defensive?

FLOYD SAID, BEFORE the Mosley fight and BEFORE the second negotiations, that if Pac doesn't agree to FULL OST there would be no fight PERIOD. But when Pac's team decided to agree to the 14 day (or 7 day according to Koncs) cutoff, which is not FULL OST, everyone gave Floyd a hard time...
Floyd did say it...
Manny also did SAY it... but how can u not expect him to be criticized for KEEPING HIS WORD, same as Floyd, when the reality is, the fans want to see it?
Simply; Manny could find some compromise with his statement just to make the fight everyone wants to see (other than people that are afraid Manny will lose), just like Floyd should have compromised his statement just to make the fight everyone wants to see.
double standards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Floyd still got criticized, Manny will still get criticized... the way the boxing world is

Floyd got criticized because he's trying to implement blood testing that's not even asked for by the commisions itself with no merit as to why the testing is even needed. So because he "thinks" Pac may be on something Pac has to undergo random blood testing up until the day of the fight? Lets be real. Its all a hurdle from making the biggest fight since Ali/Frazier from happening.
OST with a 7 day cutoff, unlimited urine up until fight night, and an immediate blood and urine test after the fight. If Floyd feels this isnt sufficient enough to get the fight done, then he just doesnt want to fight Pac, and if Floyd fans feel this isnt enough to get the fight done, then they're only intersted in what Floyd wants and not the actual fight!Last edited by Deevel916; 03-16-2011, 10:37 AM.
