Listen to what he said carefully, and analyze the meaning of it even though it is simple as can be

LMAO yeah I did, two guys that are way past there prime looking for a payday and trying not to get hurt. Mayorga wasn't even ranked for god sake and Shane looked terrible in his last fight and has no business in that fight. Mike more or less said that these were bum fights and that the reality is that no one is truly looking to destroy the best and that the fans are essentially being served bum fights to line the pockets of promoters while raping the fans.

He was probably right about both guys being past prime but he looked ****** when he said that they were just there for the payday and not trying to hurt each other.

I think he is wrong with the assessment, i think they were trying to hurt each other but he isn't wrong about the pacman fight at all.

Exactly he must have had a flashbackof when he fought McBride for the last payday and quit. Anyone who watched that fight and thought that those guys werent trying to hurt each was either not paying attention or just ******.

It's not that far fetched, Mayorga was a complete non factor at the time and Cotto got another gimme fight with a named opponent that wasn't supposed to cause him any problems, that's still an easy pay day for a guy that is "Supposedly" still in his prime and not damaged goods. It isn't like he we was fighting the number one contender for his paper belt.

Shane has no business in that fight either, Zab Judah has a better resume in his last 3 fights than Shane does right now.

I found it hilarious that Mike was so honest about it.

Im not arguing that Mayorga was a legit opponent but to say that they werent trying to hurt each other is ridiculous.

Mayorga was trying to hurt Cotto...Cotto was trying to get through the fight and not get in a war at all costs. Where I agree with Mike is that while they were fighting, neither man was trying to destroy the other man at all, Cotto outright refused to fight when Mayorga the really shot fighter was begging him. I personally thought Cotto still had enough left to out speed move and finesse Mayorga with clean crisp shots, in fact Mayorga looked faster at times and def hit harder.

At the end of the day Cotto will be murdered by any legitimate p4p fighter at this point, Margarito is a good option because he's shot as well and him still wearing those glasses may mean his eye is real ****ed so maybe that would level the playing field and Cotto vs Margarito II would be a good option now. Sergio, Manny or Floyd would mop the floor with Cotto if he showed up like he did saturday.
