Why does Vitali deserves a lot of credit for fighting an Olympic Gold Medalist? He's supposed to take on good opponents. Solis was a beast in the Amateurs, but PRO boxing is a different ball game, and I wouldn't say Solis has looked very good sice he turned pro. Most of the time he comes into the ring overweight and doesn't look all that motivated. He seems to lack hunger and determination and so far been victorious because of his natural boxing ability. Solis hasn't been tested yet cause he hasn't really fought anyone. This is a huge step up in class and he won't get away with being sloppy against Vitali. Solis will get punished for every mistake he makes. I wish Solis all the best but he hasn't done anything in his previous fights that would make me think he'll be able to pull the upset against Vitali.

Hopefully Vitali will bring out the best in him, so we can finally see exactly how good Solis is.

Yep, that Uppercut that rocked Solis was nice.

So I honestly think there is some reasoning behind ranking Solis as potentially the 3rd best Heavyweight in the World (obviously below both Klitschko brothers).

I think Vitali deserves a lot of credit for fighting an Olympic Gold Medalist who has looked great as a Pro.

Having said that, I was a bit unimpressed with Odlanier Solis' last fight against Ray Austin. Ray Austin (Wlad KO victim) was more than competitive with Solis and in fact the fight was about even when it was stopped in round 10 on a DQ.

So, based on the most recent result of Solis, as well as Klitschko's tough innate ability. I do favour Vitali on a late TKO or decision win.

This is the type of fight that can be used to substantiate Vitali as an alltime Great.

Odlanier Solis is an amateur alltime great and a very solid pro. Beating Solis make's Vitali's legacy look much better.
What happened in the amateurs doesn't mean it would happen in the pros.

Solis needs to prove it in the pros before you can make statements like that.

If Vitali gets defeated by a guy with 17 fights it diminishes Lennox's win.

Thats why I root for Vitali.

He hasn't looked good as a pro IMO, but this is the best fighter Vitali has/will face since coming back.
