Not if the GBP offer reports were accurate. He's essentially being offered a 4-fight deal there that averages just that much. This would suck but its understandable.

Why am I not surprised that GBP is going down South fast? Oscar should fire his think-tanks and hire someone who's really "in" the boxing business...

He won't make 300k a fight, it just averages out that way. He will have to earn it by fighting guys like Parra for 150k, then step up the next guy for 250k. then step up further for the third guy for 350k and then if he wins those three, then a 450k fight for the fourth fight, which wouldn't be Donaire because he will have moved up by that time. The difference is he gets 350k now for Donaire or has to earn it against other guys. He wants 500k vs. Donaire because he knows he will get destroyed and wants to cash out...
