The Paul Williams win was 4 months ago. The Pacquiao win over Cotto was 2 years ago. >_>

Pacman earned his spot a couple years ago,but his run is transparent lately. It's time for the new face of boxing to get his shot.

I like Martinez, but to suggest he is now P4P King is ridiculous.

Why don't we give his resume the same treatment we give Floyd/Pacquiao?

              - KO'd by a pre-pubescent Margarito
              - Lost the first fight with Williams (outlanded in punches)
              - Pavlik had already been exposed (completely) by BHop. And Martinez still lost many of the middle rounds to him. Only when Pavlik got cut was Martinez able to pull ahead.
              - Williams II - Williams looked like trash against Cintron. He got badly wobbled by a right hand, and many people think Cintron should have won
              - Dzinziruk - 154lb title holder. Didn't belong at 160 pounds

How on earth can Martinez jump all these spots to number 1 when he has only beating a couple of decent fighters? Paul Williams looked horrible with Cintron before he took an innocuous fall out of the ring. If only Cintron was able to release his nuts before entering the ring then we would have witness how ordinary Paul Williams is as a boxer. He is overrated without question and Martinez clearly won the first fight as well.

Sergio has to challenge fighters at Super Middleweight with the likes of Froch and Bute as potential opponents. Manny and Floyd can easily beat Martinez but the man has obvious power and punch resistance so he is a risky fighter.

Sorry, but this man has to win a few more fights before he can be considered to be number 1. He isn't young so he better start making some moves.
