The fight shouldn't happen because I honestly think it would be unfair to the smaller fighter. I actually think Martinez would drop Pacquiao and beat him up. They need to set their legacy at their own weight and forget about p4p status.
However you can't bash Sergio for wanting to fight Pacquiao or Mayweather, he wants to become #1P4P and whats the best way of doing that??? By beating the #1 P4P. Sure Sergio could take the long hard way and beat Bute and Andre Ward, but at that point people can still argue that Pacquiao is
#1P4P, if he beats Pacquiao directly, there is no doubt that he is P4P#1.

    It's that simple

Dude stop. You have no knowledge in boxing outside of Pacquiao. go away.

I think you should the one must go away. Boxing experts not like you who got your knowledge from Google University thought Barrera, Marquez and Morales are HOF fighters. Martinez beating Cintron, Pavlik and Dzinziruk won't bring you in any HOF status. You wanna bet?

*****,Margarito is lucky to be fighting at all.But no,Martinez does not need to fight Margarito.Anyone who thinks that Margarito at this stage of his career can compete with Marvilla should just go & watch golf or something.

If you take the time to read my entire post you can see I don't like the idea of a fight between them.

Go away, the simple fact that you said that Sergio has not fought anyone bigger than him and that his skills are far below those of Cotto's is just plain ******ed.

              Go away.

How about if he beats Cotto vs Margarito II convincingly at 154?

Did you ever watch his last fight how he put his hands too low? Even grandpa Hopkins will tax his ass if he has the courage to move at light heavyweight. You know?

Martinez ends Margs within 6 rds at this point. Martinez was greener than a dollar bill when he fought Margs 9 years ago.

Roy Jones, Jr., when prime, practically invented that style. You telling me any old fighter would "tax his ass".... get real. Sergio still has plenty of reflexes and stamina to pull it off, sure he gets tagged sometimes but this is boxing not golf.
