I have to agree Martinez needs a couple more names on his resume to be considered #1 P4P. Right now, he's got five names on his resume: Antonio Margarito, Paul Williams, Kermit Cintron, Kelly Pavlik and Sergiy Dzinziruk. He lost to both Margarito and Paul Williams, although the Margarito loss was years ago and he avenged the Paul Williams close controversial defeat. He KO'd Cintron (no matter what the official result was, that was a KO) and beat the linear middleweight champion Pavlike and a solid contender in Dzinziruk. That is a very solid resume but hardly matches the accomplishments of Pacquiao just yet. If Paquiao continues on his path and Sergio continues on his path, he can pass him up. But as of right now, I think he is close but not there yet...

Martinez needs a few more names and impressive wins under his belt to be #1 IMO. His past 3 fights he's 2-1 (2KO's) while pac is 3-0 (2KO's) and the list goes on....

This would only motivate and pressure Pac to impress people by dominating Mosley. It's easier said that done tho. To be honest, the way Sergio destroyed Dzinziruk was freaking crazy. He deserves to challenge the P4P throne. I just don't like the fact that Mayweather is still up there even though he is inactive. But then again, it hasn't been a year since his last fight. But if that time passes and he is still not fighting, he should be taken off the list. There are other way more deserving active fighters that should be on that list.

even if pac destroys mosley in one round who cares?? what does picking on an old mosley even do for pac?? guy is winless in two years.martinez has racked up far too many wins against true ELITE FIGHTERS AT THIS POINT TO NOT BE CONSIDERED NUMBER 1. WHOS PAC EVEN FOUGHT SINCE JMM TO EVEN BE CONSIDERED NUMBER 2 LET ALONE NUMBER 1 ???? NOBODY. THATS WHO.FIGHTING BUMS COMING OFF CAREER CHANGING LOSSES DOESNT EXACTLEY DO IT.

martinez is actually 5-o because he was jobbed in the cintron fight that was a ko, AND THE 1ST WILLIAMS FIGHT.and pac hasnt really kod anybody since hatton, plus pac hasnt fought anybody nearly remotley as good as martinez has in his last 5, lets be honest pac is no longer the king his competetion sux to be ranked number 1.
