    Argument for fighter pensions

A couple of years back groups of fighters were demanding promoters ante up for pension plans to help fighters who suffer ill effects of their careers and or fall on hard times. I for one think promoters, at the very least should be responsible for making certain their fighters have solid financial advising and the opportunity for good investments (why not allow them to buy stock in the promotional company?). Lets face it way more fighters know nothing about business than those who do and the promoters who make so much off of these guys labor should provide what every other major employer is required to--even more so, due to the nature of the business. Thoughts?
