If they fight at 154, Sergio will outweigh Pac by at least 22 lbs. come fight night. This is the issue that everyone should focus on. If Sergio can come in at 150 just like Margarito, the most he will outweigh Pac is 17 lbs., which as Pac showed, is manageable.

For this to have any chance of getting done, Martinez needs to get down to a fair inbetween weight of 150-152, which he says is impossible. So he either kills himself in the gym cutting down there and risks coming in weak but gets the biggest payday he'll ever get, or he continues fighting at middleweight calling out Pac and never gets that payday. The choice is his.

Pacquiao is simply too small for him. This isn't even a good match-up to begin with. Just because the two are the top guys now doesn't mean they should fight. Pacquiao is great because he punishes and beats bigger guys. Martinez, I think, should try to do the same and stop chasing Pacman (or even mentioning his name as a possible opponent). The way is up! He can fight Lucian Bute next...or Jean Pascal or B-Hop or Ward or Froch.
And maybe after that he & Pacman can fight Vladimir and Vitali Klitch respectively on the same night - co-main event sort of! lol

I agree....plus I think ppl forget that Sergio NEVER outgrew 154....he only went up to replace Pavlik and struck gold....so I honestly think he can bring it down to 152 IF NEEDED....if Manny can give Marg a undeserved dance at 150 then he should be man enough to give Sergio a dance at a reasonable weight for BOTH....Manny says he is in this game to make the fans happy.....this fight will make fans happy....the 2 hottest players in the game going one on one....whats better than that?!? .....it would make the Pac Nation even more happier if he could wax Martinez like he's done Cotto, Hatton, DLH, and Marg...oh yea, they would love that
