Who the hell said Manny is a natural lightweight because he's been a natural WW for a long time now. Look at his fight night weight when he fought Barrera, JMM and Morales. He consistently weighed more than 140 pounds while those guys barely reached close to 140.

I completely agree with you, but that's the arguement that's used when the naysayers insist that Pacquiao MUST go down to 140 (or lower) to fight JMM. And now some of those same people want Manny to go UP to 154 (without a catchweight of course) to fight Martinez. Pacquiao is a welterweight who the naysayers want to fight anywhere but there. He can't win with some people.

I agree and i have consistently said that Manny is too small for Martinez. My overall point has been, the title fight at 154 that Manny won was a complete joke and thats it. My other point is, Martinez has fought better competition than anyone and that incluse Manny because SErgio Martinez didn't get fighter of the year for nothing. I just don't understand why so many people don't like Sergio Martinez when the guy fights top notch fighters.

Who doesn't like serg? C'mon now.. I ain't gonna call dude an ATG just because he beat the terrible three (pavlik/pwill/dizzy).. Serg is a great fighter and can solidify his greatness in his own weight class or even higher. I would like Manny to fight Martinez (regardless of the weight disadvantage).. but only after the Floyd fight. Manny would get hit and if he somehow comes away with a W.. it would take a considerable toll on him.

Some people just won't ever be happy. Me personally, I love em both. They're both great and exciting fighters - in TWO completely different weight classes. Too many people act like they have to hate one to love another. It's B.S.

You are completely right. No matter what Manny does after Mosley, it will come with vitrol from the naysayers (good way of putting it, by the way). I like both Pacquiao and Sergio as well but don't think that they are the same size. I mean, Sergio has blatantly refutted going to Super Middle because he says the weight disadvantage would be too much to overcome. And Paquiao said he was one and done at 150 lbs because he had trouble keeping the weight on during training. I think both guys are special and think that they both have many opponents their own size they can make a bigger name against. But Sergio weighed 170 lbs on fight night and Manny has weighed no more than 148 lbs. But some people will never be happy so what are you going to do? I stopped getting involved with these posts because alot of people cannot be objective about anything. They either love or hate and there is no middle ground or logic...

Pacquaio is a world "champion" at 154. Martinez can make the weight. If the fight doesn't happen it makes Manny look scared, which he probably is. He would be knocked out in under 4 rounds against Martinez.

We all know what Manny did in the past but as of recent, he ain't impressing the sport with his opponents as much as his performances against them.
No one is upset will it be Pinoys or Americans, Martinez deserves a full credit for victories over Pavlik, Williams & Dzinziruk that made him the 2010 Fighter of the Year by the BWAA...BUT it doesn't mean you're better over Pac or become the P4P King...It's still far way for Martinez to over run Pac...

Pac has its' own run of impressive performances against quality & bigger oppositions which started from Diaz, Dela Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey and Margarito...Not to mention the war against his own size & future hall of famers in a round robin fashion between the Fab 4 (Morales, Barrera, Marquez & Pac) lacking only Marquez vs Morales...Cotto, Clottey and Margarito were the most avoided fighters in their weight division even Mayweather proves to be one avoiding them, but Pac has faced them all against all odds & the same time defeated them impressively...Pac is a small welterweight, at 144lbs against Margarito during weigh in & he's not even reach the welter limit of 147lbs...It's like a small welter against a super middleweight...Fighting Margarito is a mismatch at a catch weight of 150lbs considering the height & weight difference of 148lbs Pac (5' 6" tall) against 167lbs Margarito (5' 11' tall) at fight time...But what happened, even how good a small champion is against a very huge weight & size difference is an impossible thing to overcome, but he has done it explosively destroying the face of the taller, heavier & iron chinned Margarito over 12 rounds of a one sided beating...This fight alone showed the difference between a good champion & a great champion...

Martinez is a good champion but Pac is a great one...Martinez beating Pac at 150 or 154 lbs doesn't make him the P4P King or the best...But rather all the credits goes to Pac win or lose because of the size & height difference...In order for Martinez to be the P4P king & to be the best, he should likewise guide his path to greatness, beat future hall of famers and elite champions north his weight divisions and not smaller oppositions...

Doubt it happens, Martinez is too big too quick and too strong for Manny, Manny will get hurt and his flaw will get exposed. Martinez is by far the best fight out right now.

Back in the Day boxing used 2 be about putting the best fighters in the ring no matter what the situation was. Today in a bad economy its all about the money not about the best fighters. Boxing is like politics they tell you what you what you want to hear but nothing ever happens. They talk manny vs mayweather, martinez those fights would be great for boxing but its not about matchups its about the money. Today the matchups are bums fighting bums and matchups that don't even matter. Bob arum is a ****ing joke!!!!!!!!
