    martinez-dzinzurik vs cotto-mayorga

alot of people for some reason were upset that hbo was showin sergio over cotto and most people claimed that the cotto fight was a better fight to watch and that the sergio fight would be boring. now that both fights have come and gone what are peoples oppinions on this now?

I enjoyed watching both fights. I ordered the Cotto/Mayorga fight, then caught the Martinez replay on HBO the next morning.

I didn't order the PPV but I did DL it and saw it about 2 hours ago. Instead I saw the Sergio-Serhiy fight and enjoyed the way Martinez looked in the win. He outjabbed and outsmarted his way to the tko. I wasn't disappointed with the Cotto fight either, but it shouldn't have lasted 12 rounds at all. Outside of Mayorga trying to bait Cotto to an all-out war, I'd say the Martinez fight was a better and more exciting fight for me to watch.

I watched two fights at once for the first time and Im glad I didnt miss either. If I had to choose the better fight I say Cotto/Mayorga. Martinez just ran through Dizzy like I expected.

Martinez is beautiful to watch but his fight was a bit too one sided, on the other hand Cotto vs Mayorga was a bit more exciting and I was waiting to see if a Mayorga bomb land and made Cotto do the chicken dance.

streamed both fights at the same time.

my cotto/mayorga stream ****** tho... so laggy

cotto is as shot as I expected.

martinez impressed, didn't think he was gonna stop a defensive guy like dzinziruk, but I thought he took a lot more leather than he should have against a defensive guy.

much respect to you and everyone else who watched the real fight which was supposed to be boring according to the sudden hbo haters/casual boxing fans.it's funny how one guy said that 2 guys were known(mayorga, coto) as if sergio is unknown.the cotto-mayorga fight was supposed to be an action packed fight but there seem to be more hitting goin on in the sergio fight than there was in the cotto fight

Yeah i saw that comment too and laughed. All in all, the Sergio fight was more of a surprise seeing how he used his jab to take over the first 3 rounds before the 1st knockdown in the 4th. The guy has come along way and I'm glad he's finally getting the recognition he deserves. His fight last Saturday was a thing of beauty though. Great game plan and knockout in the 8th

The Cotto-Mayorga fight had no buzz in Vegas. I was out there this weekend and not one person was hyped about it at all. I went to lose some money at the MGM on fight night and nothing. I asked one of the security members who had won and he told me Cotto but the fight was nothing but bull****. I wasn't expecting much when I downloaded the fight, but it wasn't as bad as he made it out to be.
