I think the only people I see making that argument are Pac and Floyd apologists.
Wow i can finally agree with you for once.

People will never be happy. They want Martinez to fight the best every fight. He proven hes the best. FOTY and KOTY in the same year, but somehow he needs to "prove" himself again. So ******ed. Stop protecting youre favorite fighters. I bet if he never called out the top 3 cashcows, all these haters would be all over his nuts. But suddenly their favorite protected fighters are on the line they will spew any names out.

All i know is, Jacobs vs Pirog in rematch and Jacob got it.

This is the same Fing arguement people were making for Pacquiao. Fight a slick AA. And all the *******s defended it. Now suddenly these same tards are saying Sergio havent fought an awkward fighter.

Im not saying Martinez should fight Pac, cause in all honesty he is too big for him, but i dont agree for Margarito, Cotto, or FLoyd.

That's all there is to it. #1 and #2 on the pound for pound list aren't doing anywhere near what this guy has done. Come on, man, this dude just flattened Paul Williams in two rounds. Sure, bash Paul now but he was an elite fighter who neither Floyd nor Pacquiao wanted to face. There were even some Pacquiao fans who were claiming Manny was going to fight him "next" . Not to worry, fellas, Sergio took care of that for him. Now you can bash P-Dub all you want, he really wasn't all that good to begin with. Too bad only Martinez had the balls to test that theory.

Martinez is a great champion. That was a very, very impressive win on Saturday night. Let the magazine's place whomever they wish in that top slot. There are many good fighters from 147-160 and I can't see them any of them beating Sergio.

I gotta admit he showed me something saturday. I didnt think Sergei was that great but Martinez did what he was supposed to do to him. He's been consistent as hell. Thats boxingscene culture though. If you move a mountain then they say I bet you cant do it with one hand. I do think Money May points him to death. Im bias, no doubt.

I don't know. That's a really great fight. I think Floyd is slipping though. And I that beautiful overhand left that Martinez throws after taking that subtle step backward...yikes. And the jab would pose problems for Floyd as well. I don't see Floyd winning but I do give him a better chance than Manny.

Floyd has a chance of winning, but only if he fights the best fight of his entire life.

Pac has about 5-10% chance, i think one left from sergio and he will literally fly across the ring.

Cotto has literally 0% chance of winning. His face will get busted up and he will quit on his stool, and im a fan of all three guys also.

Margarito will absorb alot of hit for maybe 6 rounds and then the ref will stop the fight.

I love a serg-pirog fight. Pirog would be a live underdog.

But people really need to get the hate off for Sergio. If there is anyone who deserves a big fight after toiling much of his career on the sidelines, that would be him. Pwill fan here but Serg deserves a lot of props. His fights for the last 2 years have been phenomenal.

Its two things that give Floyd advantages. One Martinez keeps his hands low and Mayweather can make him pay for that. Two Martinez still gets hit by much slower fighters. If Floyd gets off first its gonna be trouble.
