Anyway, the whole "this fighter deserve to fight champion X" gotta go. Its one of the worst arguments out there since the whole P4P thing. Fights got to be made on based how good the fighter is, not what he has accomplished(which should be distant second), because that way both Holyfield and Toney should be getting title shots at Klitschkos right now.
Its true that often a very good fighter has also accomplished a lot as well, but it is not always the case. Seriously out of available fights for Martinez(and dont give me sturm again, that fight ain't happening in the states) Pirog is the best option despite having worse name recognition then JCC Jr or whoever else is out there amongst the middleweight soup.
Martinez was in exactly the same spot just a few years ago and we still backed him to get to the best fighters available in his weight area.

It is funny, because Sturm is the definition of a home brewed fighter and martinez does not nearly have the money pull to make that fight in the states. No matter what Dibella thinks about himself he is still a fat man who spends all his cash on groceries.
Do I need to explain that Martinez ain't going very far against a german fighter, in germany who he will only have to knock out to get the win and who is very defined to beat up local bums and make millions off it instead of facing any serious threat?

Looks like a lotta people are jumping on the Pirog bandwagon. Hes nice but like DiBella said, he aint done an awful lot, hes a glorified prospect with a paper belt. HBO really should've capitalised on his win over Jacobs and put him on again but they didnt even bother to interview the bloke after the fight...lol

I wouldnt mind the fight but obviously DiBella is trying to get a bigger fight for Sergio, thats his job

Sexy got some build from HBO though. They put him in with Bunema and Cintron. The Williams fight was kinda thrown together at short notice too. He wasnt just handed a shot after 1 win.

HBO were so gutted that Jacobs got KTFO that they didnt give a ***** about Pirog
