I think If Mayweather fought Martinez and he lost then he would really try and prove he was the best by beating Pacman or do you think he would retire straight away?? Mayweather has stated numerous times that he doesn't fight for belts or bragging rights. He only fights for money. So even if he lost to Martinez, he would likely still fight Pacquiao as long as people would buy it.
