Collazo fights 4-13

Former world title challenger Dmitriy Salita (32-1-1, 17 KOs) and former world champion Luis Collazo (30-4, 15 KOs) will headline in seperate bouts on April 13th at the Oceana in Brooklyn, New York, Salita will take on Chicago, Illinois-based Jermain White (17-4, 9 KOs) in a ten-round welterweight bout. Collazo, who just recently became a promotional free agent, will take on Dominican Franklin Gonzalez (13-8, 9 KOs) in an eight round bout fought at the junior middleweight limit. The bout will be Collazo’s first fight in nearly two years. “I’m hoping Louie can land a big fight sometime this year. He will be looking to fight any of the big names at 147-154,” stated Collazo’s trainer/advisor Nirmal Lorick. Lorick has been an advisor to Collazo since Collazo was a young teenager. Salita’s promotional company will present the event.

Two year layoff has got to be tough on him.a few tune up fights,then maybe Cotto at 154 i would like to see that.
