Seems like you have a problem with guys challenging themselves.

Yeah but how about Sergio challenging himself too?

This is exactly what Top-Rank is stating in this thread, people exempt Martinez and the double standards are clearly evident.

Neither is a 154 pound fighter. So saying they are ducking the middleweight champion, even if he is willing to come down to 154, is wrong.
I don't know if I'd call it a duck but for the love of God, they should give it a shot. Both were willing to fight for sham 154lb titles but they don't want to fight the best available guy at 154? Come on.

So Martinez wouldn't be challenging himself say he took on Mayweather or Pacquiao? I really don't understand that.

See that's the only problem I have. You want both of them to fight Martinez? So do I, and any real boxing fan does as well. As someone else in another thread said, the only people who don't want to see either fight Martinez are the people who don't want to risk Pacquiao or Mayweather losing. But I have a huge problem with calling it a duck.

No but why aren't you guys calling him out for the same things you bash other fighters for.

Calling him out for what? He moved up to fight the best middle. Not some paper champ.

I can't argue with anything you said here.

You know too well that Sergio obliterates both Pac or Floyd in the event he fights them. I'd like to see those fights but it's not gonna be pretty for those smaller men.

And yes, I wouldn't call it a challenge for Sergio, I'd call it a big payday fight.

Martinez-"Who is Pirog". "Pirog is a nobody", "Pirog brings no money to the table".

Also I've seen you call fighters out for not facing champs in the own division and when Martinez uses the whole "I want to fight for a big payday instead of those guys" excuse, your here in this thread trying to justify it.

I have no issues with Manny, Floyd or Cotto facing Martinez. I would love to see it. My thing is people need to be consistent with their views and not give Martinez passes for things they bash other fighters for.
