None of these fighters are scared of Martinez

Exactly. That's why I'm going to man up and take back every bad comment I had about Berto and Floyd because if Martinez gets a universal pass for his actions.....so should they.
People slam Berto, Floyd, B-hop and soon to be Manny for facing Marquez.....yet Martinez is boxing's savior when he goes after smaller fighters.
Yeah what happen to the pirog fight.
No I agre but what's good with a pirog fight. Sergio next fight might end up being Andy lee. That's like PAC fighting Cotto and then turning around and fight Clottey. Which we all crucified him for.Comment

No, it's not. It was a tune-up, which is what I stated from the get go. Marquez had never fought in that division before. The same can't be said for both Manny and Floyd who have fought for 154lb titles. If they can do that, they can fight Martinez.Comment

So is Sergio challenging himself by fighting manny or floyd?Comment

As Floyd fan that was bull**** for a jmw tilte fight. Oscar wasn't the best jmw in the division. He was the biggest name.Comment

Yep, and even if they never fought at 154, it'd still be inexcusable to avoid Martinez considering how both are almost out of challenges.Comment

Do you think it's a duck if they don't fight Martinez? That's the distinction I think needs to be made here. I want Pacquiao and Mayweather to fight Martinez. It would be amazing no matter how it turned out. But you can't call it a duck. Yes both won titles at 154, but neither was very legitimate and both beat a guy who was not among the best in the division. Neither is a 154 pound fighter. So saying they are ducking the middleweight champion, even if he is willing to come down to 154, is wrong.Last edited by bojangles1987; 03-14-2011, 09:31 AM.Comment
