I don't think any fighters are "scared" of Martinez. It just seems that no fighters from 154-160 can beat him right now. I look at it as those divisions lacking talent, rather than Martinez being some unstoppable force. Middleweights of the 00s like Jermain Taylor, Winky Wright, and Bernard Hopkins would have given him a hell of a time.
    Well said. Challenge:

Call the three. SM of saturday night vs the 3 that fought each other around the beginning of the decade.

      Pac, Floyd, are smallish welters
no need for them to fight Martinez
Cotto could because he has slight legitimacy as a JMW
      but Martinez KO's him easily

Why would Cotto be scared of him when he has faced some of the most elite fighters around his division. Dude is a true warrior and doesn't run from anyone.

Same with Pacquiao. Dude has balls and if they fought at 152-154 Manny has a great chance of beating him.

Just because he beat an overrated, KO waiting to happen Williams, an souless Kelly Pavlik (courtesy of uncle Bernard) and a severly inactive Sergei Dzinzurik doesn't mean this guy is some type of monster.

People just need to realize that Cotto, Floyd and Manny all have fights that make more sense right now and Sergio will just have to wait his turn.

Margarito vs Cotto II makes more sense right now (for obvious reasons) and neither Manny or Floyd will face him before facing each other (it doesn't make sense to and only an idiot would argue other wise).
Manny and his team want no part of Sergio unless the fight is at 147lbs

I think he needs to move up to 168, if he wants good money. I can't knock Martinez for wanting the big money fights because its unfortunate that he peaked at the age of 36, he's not picking Pac or Mayweather because they're small lol.... IF Pac/May fought at 168 I'm sure Martinez would move up. Martinez knows he only has a few years ahead of him before he starts to decline.

He is too much of a risk for Floyd and Manny. They will NEVER fight him. And, if he fights Cotto, at this point, Cotto's getting knocked out. Simple as that.

Cotto would be scared of him because he knows he is at the end of his career and has NO chance of beating Sergio.

Pacquiao and Mayweather would be scared because Sergio is by far the biggest challenge of either of their careers and a guy that IMO most likely beats either of them.

I don't have a problem with Pacquiao and Mayweather not fighting Martinez, but Cotto should if he wants to be taken seriously at 154. I guarantee you if Margarito beats Cotto in the rematch he will want Martinez.

The funny thing here is that the Cotto and Martinez fight was going to happend until Arum and DiBella started talking about the $$$$ and this ****ers got to greedy as always, but to say Miguel is scared of Martinez is bvll**** Cotto might be the only one at the moment to have the ballz to come up and face "Maravilla" Martinez.

This was hard to read Top Rank, especially coming from you. If you honestly think Floyd and Pacquiao aren't afraid of losing you're out of your damn mind.

When Roberto Duran moved up he always fought the best the division had to offer. When Pacquiao moves up, he fights the most marketable fighter that it has to offer.

It's a joke, and 20 years from now people will look at both PAC and Floyd's resume and say exactly what they say about Roy Jones nowadays. Media hyped nutjob.

You dudes will get people to start hating Sergio because of your bull****. Even tho all three fought(or fight at mw they are ww). Who the f-ck is Sergio to demand a fight with dudes who put in their time to get where they are at. Dude has 2 good years. Let him cont. to do his thing for a little longer.

Thus ain't about no f-ckin challenge. It's about a pay day. If Sergio wanted a challenge he would face ward or Froch. Or better yet b hop.

I swear boxing fans are the worst.
