As days go by, Marcos "El Chino" Maidana is getting his body in top form. When he arrived more than two weeks ago to Mexico City, he weighed 158-pounds, and now after two weeks of training under Ruddy Perez, he looks to be around 149-pounds. He said that he expects to drop a few more pounds before before traveling to Las Vegas for his April 9 clash with Tijuana's Erik "Terrible" Morales. The Argentine fighter hopes to travel to Las Vegas 10 days prior to the fight. Under Perez, Maidana feels stronger, faster and more confident.

*its not unusual that the smaller fighter moves up a division and beat up the reign champion in good fashion. Dropping weight is as dangerous as gaining weight.
