    2006 =/= 2010.

    It's also true that Margarito hasn't had a real consistent streak without losses since Floyd moved to welterweight. Santos in 05, Williams in 07, Mosley in 09.

    But hey, let's stop talking about the irrelevant past, and get down to the real issue. WHY DID FLOYD DUCK FREITAS AND CASAMAYOR AT 130 BACK IN 2000?!?!?!?

      I hate to say it but I dont mind Donaire and Martinez jumping Floyd due to his inactivity. But Martinez has only wrecked one great boxer and two good boxers (Pavlik,Dizzy). We can not make Dizzy into the MW version of Tszyu yet. He stepped up and got Knocked out in dominating fashion. I predicted Martinez running away with him. Martinez moves up strictly on consistent good showings not because he is slaying dragons.

        They really are neck and neck with the winner usually being the guy who fought last. I think Martinez is better though resume wise.
        i strongly disagree.....wins over darchinyan and montiel >>>>>>>anything sergio has done.....

                Lineal middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik, one loss Paul Williams who was a two division champion and undefeated 154 long time titlist Sergiy Dzinziruk.

                However, Donaire has undefeated Darchinyan who went on to beat Mijares (but hasn't done much since), Montiel who was coming off a huge win and a totally underrated execution of Wladimir Sidorenko.

                  that was a response to larry trying to descredit pac's wins.........here's something, sergio's win over sergey aint better than pac's win over margo....

                  but cool...back to the thread topic!....it was'nt only becuasse floyd's inactivity why he deresves not to be in the top 3, it's also becuase he's last performance (altho good)was'nt as good as pac's , nonito's or sergios....

                      I have to disagree with you that Pac > Margarito is better than Martinez > Dzyna... Margarito hasn't done anything since getting slaughtered by Mosley...

                      I agree that Floyd shouldn't be dropped due to inactivity... that takes a year... it just might be that people are catching up in terms of resume, since he fights so rarely, and other people are stacking up good win after good win, namely Donaire and Martinez.
